The first University in Nigeria,The University of Ibadan was emerged the best university in Nigeria. It also was ranked eighth in Africa, with South African institutions occupying six spots out of the first 10 best institutions in Africa. The ranking was conducted by Journals consortium.
      According to consortium,the ranking was conducted utilizing the research publication and citations from the last five years as well as the  visibility of the institution on the Internet.
